Senior Software Engineer – Automated Vehicle Safety and Validation

Position Overview Tempero is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in ASAM OpenScenario, simulation software, and automated vehicle safety and validation. This role is crucial for using and optimizing advanced simulation tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize and Optimize Simulation Software: Apply and refine simulation tools for automated vehicle testing.
  • Scenario Definition and Management: Utilize ASAM OpenScenario to create and manage complex testing scenarios.
  • Safety and Validation: Conduct comprehensive safety assessments and validation procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate and enhance simulation capabilities.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong background in simulation software. Knowledge of parallelism and constraint-solving and optimizing toolkits. Experience with data mining and machine learning in relation to vehicle testing by simulation.
  • ASAM OpenScenario: Hands-on experience with ASAM OpenScenario for scenario-based testing.
  • Traffic Simulation Software: Experience with traffic simulation software such as SUMO, VISSIM, or Aimsun.
  • Automated Vehicle Safety: Understanding of safety standards, validation techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills for analyzing complex systems.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software engineering, focused on automated vehicles or related fields.
